Our Editorial Assistant internships will get a true taste of what it is like to see a book through from submission to publication.

Our Editorial Assistants will work with submissions, selecting ones they feel meet our brand and goals and referring those that do not to our sister company, French Press Bookworks. Our intern team will work closely with our Editor in Chief to develop a publishing plan based on the amount of work a book needs, work closely with the authors during the editing process, and work with the marketing, sales, and design team to create a complete package for the titles lauch.

Qualifications:

Excellent grasp of grammar and language, strong communication skills, the ability to telecommute and be reliable with time management, and the ability to think outside of the box (hate to use that cliche but what else fits?).

Intern must be a Sophmore + in college, preferably with a focus on English, Creative Writing, Technical Writing, or Publishing, however, we know that people can possess a variety of skillsets and will consider anyone who wants a chance to break in to publishing.

Intern periods are quarterly, Jan/Feb/March, April/May/June, July/Aug/Sept, Oct/Nov/Dec, with option to extend for one additional quarter. Excellent interns will be offered the chance to join the team and continue working with our company.
