THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser is one of the few organizations whose primary focus is to promote philanthropic involvement among a generation of young professionals ranging in age from 21 – 35. Our nationwide cocktail party fundraisers are unique events founded on three of our key principles:

* To advocate the importance of value added services to newly diagnosed and young breast cancer patients and families
* To raise money for a local organizations that provide value added services to breast cancer patients
* To honor local breast cancer survivors and fighters

Internship Overview:
This position is ideal for individuals seeking experience in the non-profit sector, including event-planning, relationship management, marketing, public health, and fundraising. The objective is for you to get a hands-on experience in this industry while being challenged to broaden your skill set and portfolio. This is an unpaid internship - to be used for school credit, networking, and recommendations.

Responsibilities:
* Assist in production logistics of special events
* Assist in event promotion and public relations efforts
* Recruit and work closely with volunteers
* Research leads for potential sponsors and partners

Qualifications:

* Passion for Special Events, Nonprofit Fundraising, and/or Cause Marketing
* Excellent spoken and written communication skills; comfortable doing local outreach
* Optimistic, team-player with a friendly, outgoing demeanor a must
* Attention to detail and follow through
