We are looking for independent individuals with a strong drive to succeed. This is not an internship for anyone afraid of hard work. We offer our interns a chance to really get their feet wet in the fashion industry. The ideal candidate will have experience shipping packages, be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (namely Excel and PowerPoint), have working knowledge in Photoshop and/or Illustrator, and be very organized and creative. Were looking for candidates who have common sense, are resourceful, and eager to learn.
Qualifications:
This is an unpaid internship that can lead to a paid position for the right candidate. School credit OK
- Checking samples in and out
- Assisting during showings
- Updating the social media accounts of our company and our clients
- Running errands
- Researching retailers, publications and stylists
- Assisting with planning and executing events
- Keeping up the appearance of the showroom
- Monitoring supply levels and replenishing supplies when needed (ink, paper, labels, cleaning products, etc.)• Write fun, punchy, informational posts for the blog. Manage the blog content calendar to ensure varied, timely content.
• Produce content for other Social Media channels (i.e. Facebook, YouTube, Polyvore, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr), as needed.
• Research Social Media best practices and campaign ideas from other organizations, and share them with the team.Interns should be:
• An excellent writer, who is skilled at communicating thoughts in a friendly, punchy manner.
• A social media addict, who understands the ins and outs of popular social networks, and is comfortable diving head first into posting, tweeting, pinning, and blogging.
• A creative thinker who will find new, exciting ways to tell our story, while also gathering content from colleagues.
• A researcher, who will look to “best in class” organizations to learn best practices and emerging trends in social media.
.Interns are needed to start as soon as possible working 2-3 days a week
