Reservoir Films, an award-winning, full-service production company based in the Flatiron section of Manhattan, offers a varied, educational internship to one or more eager and motivated individuals interested in production and communications. He or she will work closely with our producers and editors, assisting them in all aspects of their operations, from editorial / on-set assistance to business development.

Part-time
Unpaid, with small stipend for transit / lunch.
Location: Flatiron

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with day-to-day in house needs (i.e. tagging and organizing files in Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro, transcribing interview files, archiving projects)
- Reviewing raw footage and making initial selections for use by the editors
- Organizing project files and footage, managing and maintaining archives for current and past projects
- Serving as production assistant on shoots
- Opportunities to edit short videos for clients or for web/social media distribution (e.g. trailers, promos, and reels)
- Working with editors to help assemble rough cuts for projects
- Searching online music databases for possible music choices
- Conducting research for future projects
- Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro

Qualifications:

Requirements:
- Passionate about creating innovative, original media
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to think creatively and make strong creative decisions
- Self-starter
- Ability to work well with others and collaborate effectively
- Currently enrolled in a Media, Journalism, Video Production or similar degree program is a plus
- Familiarity with video editing software and camera equipment not necessary but a plus
- Professional, courteous manner and receptivity to learning and new challenges
- Desire to take on increased responsibility as internship progresses
- Access to a computer (when not using the provided office computer)
- Interested in exploring a variety of filmmaking mediums, from documentary to animation
- Interested in health, wellness and education
