We are looking for interns to join our web design team.

Interns will be working closely with authors to develop their book landing pages, author websites, or book websites.

Interns will be assigned one primary focus for their quarter and assist our team with the development of web pages to be used for promotion and outreach, as well as basic updates and work to our main webpage.

Internships run quarterly, Jan/Feb/March, April/May/June, July/August/September, Oct/Nov/Dec with the option to extend for one additional quarter. Excellent interns will be granted the opportunity to join the team at the completion of their assigned term.

Interns will have the option to create templates for author websites, landing pages, or book websites that can be sold through our sister company, French Press Bookworks. Interns that place web templates into this section for sale will be paid on commision for the life of their template and have the template link back to the interns personal work. This is an excellent opportunity for interns to get real world experience while taking advantage of our reach and platform to extend their personal business.

Excellent interns also have the opportunity to join our team at the completion of their quarter.

Qualifications:

Advanced level of HTML/CSS, knowledge of Java, JQuery, or other developmental tools that will take websites to the next level.

Will consider college Freshman with a strong portfolio and knowledge of web design.

Must be reliable and able to work on deadlines in a virtual environment. Must have strong communication skills and work closely with our design department on assigned websites.

15 hours a week
