Description:

We are looking for social media management interns to train/develop in how to maintain an online presence for a business as well as market responsibly through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We will provide in-depth training and feedback throughout the internship.

Responsibilities include:
Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts:
- Creating relevant posts: hair style photos, hair advice, encouragement, and relevant news
- Monitoring and engaging in social media communications
- Replying to readers and providing excellent customer service

Building consistent buzz surrounding Ishimma and Ishimma events through social media posts
- Social Media promotion

Social Media Research:
- Aggregate and/or find article and video content online that is relevant to Ishimma fans
- Internet research to find and engage with social media communications
- Track social media statistics
- Website and social media optimization using keyword analysis

Qualifications:

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
18 years of age or older
Strong interest in Social Media Marketing
Reliable Internet Access
Dedicated phone line (Skype account for interview)
Interest in Black/African-American Womens Hair Care and Natural Hair Care
Must attend online orientation

WRITING SKILLS:
Strong Writing Skills are an ABSOLUTE must – a writing sample will be required
Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram is preferred
Being technologically savvy is a must
