We are launching a new magazine!The Pittsburgh Center for International Understanding needs interns to help us succeed in our goal of producing an informative, high-quality, and freely distributed quarterly magazine backed up by a robust website, blog, and social media presence.
What do we need help with? Just about everything! If you have experience or are willing to learn on the job in any of the following areas, we want to hear from you!
- Content writing (articles, blog posts, tweets, etc.)
- Editorial Photography
- Graphic Design
- Web Design
- Magazine Distribution
- AdvertisingThere are no set hours for this internship. The more time you put it, the more successful we will all be! Most of the work will likely be independent. We are looking for self-starters--people that we can assign a task to and trust that it will get done.
We cannot compensate our summer interns, but we promise to write the best letters of recommendation youve ever seen. And if you happen to be around in the future and are willing to continue working with us, we will pay you as soon as we are able to pay ourselves!
Qualifications:
You must be living in or around Pittsburgh, PA for the summer. Preference will be given to those who will be in the area through the first semester of 2013.We are looking for students and recent graduates with a background in journalism, photography, graphic arts, marketing, and just about anything else that you can convince us is applicable to our project.
