Hours/Days Per Week: Three days/week (Tues, Thurs & Fri); 10am to 2pm
Length of Assignment: Fall School Semester
Internship Duties:
Get hands on experience in prospect celebrity research and community engagement/relationship development by providing support to the Autism Speaks Community Affairs team. Autism Speaks is seeking an intern to assist in the New York City office. This is an unpaid position that may be used for college credit. Commitment of three days per week for a minimum of 20 hours.Responsibilities:
• Stewarding Autism Speaks ‘current event representation, including conducting outreach to gain new event representation, preparing and mailing acknowledgments corresponding with potential new partners
• Maintaining the celebrity database, including creating and updating records and performing follow-up correspondence
• Prospect and Celebrity Research
• Other assistance as necessary
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Professional and responsible demeanor
• Interest in learning the details of Corporate Development event fundraising and campaigns
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
• Database experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently
