Open Water is a new type of startup accelerator. For first time founders, we believe that the limiting factor to growing a software company is talent, not capital. Open Water provides selected startups with a dedicated team of engineers, designers, and growth hackers and 130k of cloud credits. We help startups innovate faster, grow faster, and build better betas.

Responsibilities

- Review prototypes, mockups, and staging sites to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize websites and applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Identify and troubleshoot various technical and graphical issues
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end

Qualifications:

- Familiar with or exposed to React/React Native, JSON, AJAX or Bootstrap
- Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various content management systems
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Developed front-end skills and some basic understanding of how back-end development works
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with designers, developers, and other relevant staff members or clients
- Flexibility to adapt to changing instructions and requirements
