Phaidon Press New York is seeking a publicity and marketing intern who is interested pursuing a career in publishing and has a keen interest in the art world.

The publicity/marketing intern will take an active role in each initiative involved in publicizing a book: writing a press release, researching contacts and new media outlets, mailing out materials, compiling press images and managing incoming press clips. The intern will provide critical support to the publicity team.

Interns are eligible for a stipend or course credit from their academic institutions.
Internships are offered in the Fall, beginning in September and ending in December; Spring, beginning in January and ending in May; and Summer, beginning in June and ending in August. Interns must be available for a minimum of 20 hours a week.

Qualifications:

Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of MS Office, Mac OSX, and be familiar with the Adobe Office Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.). They should be comfortable communicating via phone and email, have experience conducting research, and have good organizational and time management skills.
