Description:

We are looking for an intern to manage our social media platforms and contribute to our on-line community. The position will require research as well as keeping up-to-date on current/relevant news highlighting women. You will also be require to integrate original content from our web community into our social media platforms. This will include developing a content strategy and guidelines for content distribution, time and frequency.

This is a four-month non-paid position that begins immediately. Intern will work remotely. At the conclusion of the internship, intern will receive a free WITI membership and be able to take advantage if all our on-line and off-line offerings.

Qualifications:

- Must be able to commit 4 months, 10-15 hours a week
- Must be able to use basic Word, Excel, Google docs
- Must be able to generate weekly progress reports
- Must have your own computer and know how to use most social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Linkedin, Pinterest, etc.
- Must be a creative thinker and good at writing
- Provide links to 1-3 social networking profiles to demonstrate interest and knowledge
- Possesses skills in writing, presentation, interpersonal relations, and time management
- Exhibits personal qualities, such as dependability, honesty, open-mindedness, enthusiasm, and adaptability
- Prefers challenges, fast pace, new ideas, future focus, and unstructured environment
- Must be available for a weekly call on Monday and Friday

- Utilizes social media platforms to engage with a community of fans/followers online
- Produce strategy and coordinates online marketing and advertising campaigns
- Collaborates with internal departments on projects and assignments
- Demonstrates interest in social media and how media and communication strategies can continuously engage the online community
- Research current/relevant topics highlighting women
