Description:

We are looking for an ambitious writer to join our small team and spearhead the blog. This is a huge opportunity for anyone excited to showcase their creative writing and marketing talents, while at the same time getting involved with an early-stage startup. The person who fills this role will be a vital member of our team and receive the power to lead our content marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate is not just a wordsmith, but also someone interested in community building, small business and culture. The internship is intended to be 3-4 months with potential for long-term consulting. The position can be remote or from our office in Atlanta.

*We will help the writer obtain several industry specific certifications in social media, marketing and writing.

Responsibilities

-Create at least 2 posts with supporting media each week
-Maintain an engaging post-schedule
-Collaborate with social media staff to design and execute campaigns
- Willing to learn how to use analytics to optimize posts
-Stay savvy to trending topics
- Adhere to goals and milestones.

Qualifications:

-Consistently available for at least 2 hours per day, or at least 10 hours per week.
-Work can be done at home though you will be required to attend bi-weekly team meetings either virtually or in the WhereU office in Atlanta (near Georgia State University).
-Solid understanding of the importance of brand management
-Experience and understanding of SEO and keyword strategies
-Great copywriting and proof-reading, and ability to provide past examples
-Creative ideas and drive to do them
-Excellent story-telling
-Self-starter with strong time-management skills
