We are looking for an intern with knowledge of startups to conduct market research to support Rockstart in their business development activities, in particular exploring new markets and industries.
In particular, we are looking for someone that enjoys conducting market research, which involves collecting raw data online, a lot of desk work, and is capable of working independently, and self managing. You have demonstrated your strong analytical and organisation skills in past roles, and have the ability to summarise and present your research findings in a succinct and organised manner. In this role, you will be supported by the Rockstart CEO & Founder. You should be able to report summaries and fact sheets to the management board of Rockstart.

Qualifications:

Your main activities for this internship will be:
• Desk research on different sectors/industries in general (definition of the sector, trends, technology and market developments, facts & figures, etc.). Specifically with regard to startup dynamics.
• Investigate startup programs and funds focused on certain sector specific niches around the globe, to find out which sub-sectors and startups are most likely to be subject of an acceleration program and how the funding could look like (feasibility).
• Investigate success stories and most important (regional) ecosystems around the globe (enablers and success factors).
• Prepare and support the development and implementation of a short questionnaire for sector specific startups.
• Support with finding sponsors, informals and applicable private funding for a new acceleration program for the respective sector.
