Bye Bye Parabens Beauty Brand-- Global Marketing and Communications Intern

Position Summary:
Assist Bye Bye Parabens Global Marketing and Communications team with day-to-day operations, press outreach and management.

Each Bye Bye Parabens intern will educate targeted consumers on the benefits of Bye Bye Parabens product line.

Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
• Media/Competitor Monitoring. Monitors and tracks green/new/trade/ media placements for updates to media hits, placement summaries and weekly updates; monitors for paraben free mentions in-market to assist in proactive outreach opportunities
• List Development and Maintenance. Researches, develops and maintains media contact lists, media magnet location directories (top salons/spas, service-specific lists, green salon/spas)
• Press Outreach. Assists in-market, online and trade press outreach; conducts proactive/reactive outreach to beauty/fashion bloggers and websites; fulfills editorial product requests and assembles new product mailings
• Internal/Clerical Responsibilities. Maintains social media communications with weekly updates; monthly report on in-market opportunities and past month work review
•
Other Duties:
Pitch letter writing; press release editing; interaction with social media

Qualifications

Education: College student pursuing Marketing, Business, or PR/Journalism or Communications degree

Experience:
• Strong writing and communications skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Experience with facebook, twitter, pintrest, mailchimp, and google
