The Global Grid is seeking qualified applicants for Graphic Design Internships. As a Graphic Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills by managing and implementing regular website updates, social media banner designs, participating in a variety of special graphic design projects, while maintaining brand consistency. You will gain valuable experience and skills, and we make all of our internships available for academic credit. Plus, we offer free resume reviews and career coaching to support you as you transition from our internship into the next phase of your career.

Although this is a virtual internship and you don’t have to commute to our office, we still expect professionalism and commitment from you. We are looking for the best of best. If you are creative, energetic, and eager to learn, and can commit to at least a six month internship; we want to hear from you!

What to expect during your internship with The Global Grid?

You can expect to gain experience in a variety of areas including the niche of environmental design and how to manage the development of graphic designs from concept to finished product.

Design graphics for social media sites;

Complete special design projects on an as-needed basis;

Design graphics for website updates;

Communicate design strategy;

Maintain brand consistency;

Obtain a greater understanding of the field of environmental design.

Qualifications:

What we’re looking for:

6 month or 1 year commitment, contractually;

Uninterrupted Internet and computer access, must check email daily;

Strong design skills;

Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign;

Strong communication and quantitative skills;

Ability to work under deadlines and meet them;

Self-motivated, enthusiastic and independent worker;

Ability to work remotely;

Passion for environmental design a plus.
