Unpaid internship working approximately 5-10 hours per week. We can give college credit, but it is your responsibility to provide curriculum. You will be required to sign an NDA. First you will work on tasks for the company, then tasks for our clients and special projects that come up. Your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and success will determine how quickly we move up.Responsibilities include:
Administrative tasks
On brand content creation and curation
Posting/Scheduling content on various social media platforms
Posting on blog
Creating newsletters
Researching competitors social media strategies
Brainstorming ideas for branding and expanding business
Researching article and guest post opportunities
Coming up with article topics and creating pitches
Online research

By working for Author Sidekick, you will gain invaluable insight into entrepreneurship, self-employment, the workings of a web-based business, and small business management. You will gain experience in social media, digital marketing and branding, indie and traditional publishing, desktop publishing, and project management.
Qualifications:
Ideally, you are a student or recent graduate interested in or studying marketing or business, English, journalism, management, communication, or administration. However, this is not a requirement. If you want to pursue a career in marketing or the publishing industry and believe you would be perfect for this internship, please apply. Don’t let the lack of a degree or recent college experience deter you.This is a remote, web-based position, and as such, you MUST be computer and web-savvy with reliable internet access and a reasonably up-to-date computer. Were looking for a creative-thinking, independent self-starter who takes initiative and is eager to dig in and learn by doing.
Were looking for someone with experience in social media, Hootsuite or Buffer, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in some of the following: PowerPoint, Wordpress, Mailchimp, Photoshop, project and content management tools.
Interest or experience in the publishing industry is a big plus for this position. We work for word people, so attention to detail and writing skills are critical.
