B~STEM Project (www.bstemproject.org) which focuses on fostering young girls and women in business, STEM related fields and other professions across industries, is looking for a Event Planner & Program Development intern (College level or higher) to help support and facilitate BSTEMs growth through developing and implementing event and program strategies.Intern will focus on coordinating and managing events, developing strategies, conducting research and community outreach. This is a 6 months 15-20 hours a week position. Internship begins immediately and intern will work remotely but must be based in U.S. PLEASE NO STUDENTS LIVING OUTSIDE U.S.
Qualifications:
Our Event Planner / Program Development intern intern must be a independent worker, self-starter, forward thinker and dependable. Time management and organization is essential. We are looking for and intern who can come up with solutions and is confident at implementing ideas. Must be very pro-active and dedicated.- Ability to organize, build files, create databases in excel, etc.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member
- Ability to communicate at all levels with internal/by phone and email
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Able to create Power Point presentations
- Excellent at advanced research utilizing the internet
- A positive attitude with good organizational, presentation and writing skills
- Think outside of the box and go that extra mile to get things done
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree or equivalent education is a plus

B~STEM Project’s primary focus is to provide young girls and women opportunities to gain in depth insight and understanding into the business of STEM disciplines across industries. We also offer an extension of holistic programming for both boys and girls that takes a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to STEM instruction. BSTEM allows students to engage, learn and grow on both an academic and personal level. Our programs offer exposure into a variety of industries from entertainment, advertising and fashion to robotics, agriculture and life sciences. We simulate real life scenarios with a curriculum that’s project driven. The knowledge and skills acquired are reinforced through practice, coaching and mentoring by industry specific professionals.
