Return on Change (RoC), a thought leader in the investment crowdfunding industry, is looking for an Intern prepared to engage in a high-pace growth environment with significant opportunities for learning and leadership. RoC’s goal is to enable game changing startups and entrepreneurs connect with investors in the areas of technology, clean tech, med tech and social enterprise. The RoC Intern should expect to learn the field from top to bottom and directly engage in the strategic discussion of the company with the management team. Its essential that applicants have excellent communication skills, creativity, independence, and attention to detail. The RoC Intern will be working directly with the CEO and Product Development team, so this will be a great opportunity for those who have a strong interest in the startup industry, or the investment crowdfunding industry.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities

- Execute and code designs with valid CSS/HTML/PHP/MySQL/JS/AJAX as needed
- Joomla programming experience is highly desirable
- Maintain and update existing web applications
- Code for multiple browsers and unit test work
- Follow best practice development web standards and processes
- Estimate project length and communicate daily status with team
- Clearly communicate ideas onboth a technical and non-technical level
- Work on graphics and design matters with the Head of Product Development and technical lead(s)

Requirements

Students applying for this internship must have strong technical and communication skills and should be majoring in Computer Science, Web Design, Web Programming, Graphic Design, or a related major. In addition to having strong writing skills, applicants should have a solid understanding of the startup industry as well as go-to attitude with the ability to take on tasks without constant direction.
