III. Position Description:
As TechnoServe has grown rapidly in recent years there has been increasing demands on the IT Department to implement global systems to support the organization’s growth and enhance its performance. While this has been challenging it has also presented an exciting opportunity to search for innovative ways to connect with donors interested in funding IT projects to develop our organizational capabilities. We have discovered donors who are willing to fund these types of projects as well as some technology companies that will act as donors by supporting the application of their technology in not-for-profit organizations. We are looking for an intern who can help us discover more of these donors. We would like to find additional donors who would be willing to support the development of new TechnoServe systems. Several of these systems have been conceived, but due to limited resources have not moved into the development phase. The intern will aide in identifying donors who would potentially support the development of new TechnoServe systems, understand their interests, requirements and application processes and participate in developing proposals and concept papers that these donors would fund. This individual will report directly to the Director of ICT, and will also work with a small team focused on the pursuit of this funding.Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:
