B~STEM Project (www.bstemproject.org) which focuses on fostering young girls and women in business, STEM related fields and other professions across industries, is looking for a Marketing & Communications intern (College level or higher) to help support and facilitate BSTEMs growth through developing and implementing publicity and communications strategies.PLEASE NOTE THAT STUDENT MUST LIVE IN U.S., WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS AT THIS TIME.
Intern will focus on marketing, marketing strategies and resourcing marketing tools to help drive traffic. Intern will strategize and implement a variety methods to bet the organization to the public. This includes promoting the brand, helping to increase our social media followers and engagement, developing campaigns, search engine optimization, create and reorganize email lists, help lauch newsletter, etc. Please visit www.bstemproject.org for more information.
This non-paid position that starts immediately for 6 months. Intern will work remotely 15-20 hours weekly and be available for weekly calls.
The internship begins immediately. Intern will work remotely.
Qualifications:
Our intern must be a independent worker, self-starter, forward thinker and dependable. Time management and organization is essential. We are looking for and intern who can come up with solutions and is confident at implementing ideas. Must be very pro-active and dedicated.- Ability to write well and solicit marketing opportunities
- Ability to organize, build files, create databases in excel, etc.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member
- Ability to communicate at all levels with internal/external by phone and email
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Excellent at advanced research utilizing the internet for public relations opportunities
- A positive attitude with good organizational, presentation and writing skills
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree or equivalent education is a plus

B~STEM Project’s primary focus is to provide young girls and women opportunities to gain in depth insight and understanding into the business of STEM disciplines across industries. We also offer an extension of holistic programming for both boys and girls that takes a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to STEM instruction. BSTEM allows students to engage, learn and grow on both an academic and personal level. Our programs offer exposure into a variety of industries from entertainment, advertising and fashion to robotics, agriculture and life sciences. We simulate real life scenarios with a curriculum that’s project driven. The knowledge and skills acquired are reinforced through practice, coaching and mentoring by industry specific professionals.
