Mission
Solar Sales Interns are responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the company by customizing the design of each customer’s solar system to meet that customer’s unique needs. The goal of the role is to foster and develop sales skills within students interested in pursuing a career in sales upon graduation. This is a part-time position, with interns working anywhere from 20-29 hours per week. The program is scheduled to run a period of 3 months with the option to continue for strong performers.
Essential Job Functions
• Conduct roughly 1 in-home solar consultation per day
• Build trust and rapport with prospective customers
• Demonstrate uncompromising customer service
• Conduct accurate in-home needs assessments and corresponding analysis
• Engineer compelling energy solutions that Save Energy, Save the Environment and Save Money
• Deliver outstanding presentations that create a high sense of urgency to act now
• Resolve concerns and eliminate obstacles
• Follow-up on pipeline and post-sale logistics
• Generate additional revenue through networking and referrals
• Attend company and departmental meetings as directed
• Participate in ongoing training and development sessions designed to build upon sales skills and positive work habits

• This position involves a large amount of traveling both to and from customer appointments and events.
