We post new articles every weekday, but we want to boost that number even higher—and on top of that, we want to make sure people can find them easily whether they’re on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, or Google.

This summer, we need someone who can:

1) Create a flexible editorial calendar incorporating team posts, guest posts, and features
2) Write excellent blog posts about news, trends, and interests in travel
3) Work with our social media team to learn what our community is looking for and loves to see
4) Optimize our past blog posts for search—if you’re new to search engine optimization (SEO), we’re happy to train you
5) Interpret Google Analytics, Webmaster Tools, and WordPress SEO to build great content that’s easy to find across multiple platforms

We’re looking for someone who’s extremely organized, has great time management skills, and knows how to write like a human, not a robot or a term paper. If you want to work in marketing and communications, we’ll work with you to help develop your SEO and web writing skills.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have:

1) Excellent organizational and time management skills
2) Good online communication skills
3) Good writing and editing skills
4) Basic experience with Google services, including Gmail, Drive, and Hangouts
5) Reliable, consistent Internet access

In addition, interns must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or studying in the U.S. through a student visa. Interns also must be attending a college or university in the United States (or studying abroad from a U.S.-based institution), OR must be recent graduates (within the past two years) and must be 18 or older.

5 to 10 hours per week
