Malibu-based boutique PR firm seeks several resourceful students to work with a small staff on a variety of accounts that range from high profile to entrepreneurial consumer packaged good and a do-it-yourself matchmaking event for products and press (see: www.bdpr.com and www.consumerproductevents.com).

You will be provided with an unparalleled opportunity to directly learn the PR business from a veteran PR maven of over 30 years. Each intern is provided with direct experiences in writing, pitching and event management. Interns also do some of the grunt work, like research, building press lists, getting mailings out and manning special events. Because our office is small, you will thorough exposure of this industry: how to deal with clients, the press, vendors and all other facets of running a PR firm. And, you can bring your dog (or play with ours)! In-person, hybrid or fully remote opportunities.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be currently enrolled in college i.e. receiving college credit, have
excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), a proactive attitude and confident yet polite phone manner. We have a very casual atmosphere--you’ll never have to wear high-heels or a suit, and a sense of humor is a plus. A substantive/creative cover letter of what’s unique about you grabs our attention more than a cookie-cutter resume. Reliability is a must.
